Ethan, in Kirkland. With you from first look to launch.

A neighbor who happens to be good at websites.

Linnet Studio is a web studio in Kirkland, WA. I rebuild websites for local businesses: trades, clinics, law and accounting offices, shops, auto repair, restaurants.

Plenty of good businesses have websites that were fine ten years ago. They're hard to read on a phone, slow, or hide the phone number. The owners know it, but a redesign sounds like weeks of meetings and a bill they can't predict.

So I flipped the order. I build the new site first, from what's already public, and show it to you finished. If you like it, it goes live within a week for a flat $4,000, on the web address and hosting you already have. If you don't, that's the end of it.

How I work

• You talk to the person who builds it. There's no account manager and no hand-off.
• Your current site is shown exactly as it is. No fading or cropping to make the new one look better. The difference has to come from the new design.
• Plain prices. One flat price for a rebuild; everything else is quoted in writing before I start.
• Nothing moves. Same domain, same hosting, same email. You own the site.
• No hype. No ranking guarantees, no invented reviews, no client logos I haven't earned.

The name

A linnet is a small finch that sings from a perch. The mark is one: a bird on the grid line, built from a circle and a quarter-circle, sitting where the line ends in a crosshair. It's the same grid the whole site is built on.
