Neighborhoods, street by street

I’ve sold homes in every part of town and lived in four of them.

Fairhaven
Brick storefronts, the ferry and the Chuckanut trail. Walk to coffee and the water.
Edgemoor
Larger lots and bay views south of Fairhaven. Room to garden, space between neighbors.
Lettered Streets
Early-1900s houses on a tight grid near downtown. Old-house character, close to the market.
Columbia
Craftsman bungalows and big street trees north of downtown. A porch and a yard for the family.
Silver Beach
Lake Whatcom docks and old cabins turned year-round homes. Swimming, paddling, a slower pace.
Two Victorian houses, one navy and one sky blue, with deep porches behind a white picket fence along a sidewalk

Selling your home, in five steps

Most of my sellers are on the market within three weeks of our first walk-through.

  1. Walk-through and price

We walk your home. Within a week you get a price range built from nearby sales.

  2. A short prep list

Fixes ranked by what they return, plus my painters, cleaners and stager.

  3. Photos and launch

Pro photos, a floor plan and a video tour. We list on Thursday for weekend showings.

  4. Offers

We go through every offer line by line: price, terms, contingencies and timing.

  5. Closing

I manage the inspection, appraisal and escrow until the keys change hands.

Easy-exit listing. Not happy with how it’s going? Cancel anytime before an accepted offer. No fee, no hard feelings.

Buying with me

Once we find the house, it’s usually 30 to 45 days to the keys. Finding it is the part I’m good at.

  1. A plan over coffee

What you need, what you can spend and which neighborhoods fit.

  2. Pre-approval

I introduce two or three local lenders so you can compare rates and fees.

  3. Touring

Private showings, video tours from out of town and a heads-up before homes list.

  4. Offer and inspection

Recent sales behind every offer. I’m at the inspection with you.

  5. Keys

We sign at the title office. I bring the moving boxes and a list of local trades.

What sellers and buyers say after the keys change hands.

“Maya priced our Fairhaven condo right the first time. Three offers in four days.”

Jenna R. Sold in Fairhaven Sample review

“We bought from Seattle without a visit. Her video tour caught a soft deck the photos hid.”

Marcus T. Bought on Lake Whatcom Sample review

“She told us not to buy the first house we loved. She was right, and the next one was better.”

Meet Maya

I grew up on the water here, sold sailboats before I sold houses, and opened Harbor & Pine in 2011 with one rule: tell people the truth about a house, even when it costs me the sale.

Today it’s me, a transaction coordinator and a list of inspectors, lenders and trades I’d send my own family to.
