A Kestrel electrician trims a wire with pliers before landing it in a new device box on a charcoal wall.

“One crew did the panel, the solar and the charger, in one week”

Our 1970s house had a 100-amp panel with no room for anything new. Kestrel upgraded it to 200 amps, put 26 panels on the roof and wired a charger in the garage. One schedule, one invoice.

The city inspector signed off on the first visit. Our March power bill was $41, down from $230.

Questions

Questions we get asked most

How the work, the permits and the pricing go, before anyone opens your panel.

01.Do you pull the permit?

Yes, on every job. The permit fee is in your price, we book the inspection, and we're on site when the inspector comes.

02.How long does a panel upgrade take?

One day for most homes. The power is off for about six hours, and we coordinate the disconnect with the utility for you.

03.Can my panel handle an EV charger?

Often, yes. We run a load calculation first. If the panel is close to full, load management can avoid an upgrade.

04.How big a solar system do I need?

Most Eastside homes land between 8 and 12 kW. Send us 12 months of bills and we size it to your real use, not a guess.

05.Will a battery keep my power on?

Yes, for the circuits you choose. Most families back up the fridge, furnace, lights and internet, which lasts a day or two.

06.What does the warranty cover?

Our workmanship for 10 years, on every job. Panels carry the maker's 25-year warranty, and we handle those claims for you.

Still not sure?

Most questions take two minutes on the phone. You'll talk to an electrician, not a call center.
