Gil Navarro cut hair on a Navy ship for six years, then rented the third chair at a shop on Callow Avenue. When he opened his own place in 2011, the name came with him.
It's still a plain room with four chairs, a letterboard and the radio on low. Sailors, shipyard crews, kids before picture day. Everybody waits the same.
Open Tuesday to Saturday. Last walk-in 30 minutes before close.
